They were the revolutionary women of the 20s: young women that used short skirts, leaving behind the corset, showing off a ‘bob cut’, smoking and listening to the non-conventional music of the time, jazz. Their influence was so great that there was even a silent film about this type of femenine aesthetic revolution, ‘The Flapper’, in 1920 with Olive Thomas. And it's to these women that Btoy dedicates this silk screen series, made with fondness and realism, so much so that you could be in a ‘speakeasy’ in Nueva York a century ago in your own living room.
